Chocolate covered Strawberry

What can be better than "Chocolate & Strawberries" and if combined, you get a Lethal Irresistible dessert.
Whenever I goto any nice bakery/chocolate store, this is my favorite snack (If I can call it so n STOP after eating just 1) and always thanked the person whoever created it (By the way till yesterday I didnt even knew who actually created it)

Chocolate Strawberry Pops

Although I love them but never thought of making them as they always looked so beautiful and intricately decorated that I believed it will be pretty tough to make them at home.
But when you have some nice baking chocolate + fresh strawberries + a devilish sweet tooth mind what do u do ???  ;)  So here's the recipe and the pic above is the outcome, Do Make SURE that the strawberries are properly clean of any dirt/grit and also DRY (Cause you cannot get a smooth chocolate cover if there is any water on strawberry).
Also, I'm inserting toothpicks n turning them into Pops which are easier to coat/hold/eat.

WARNING: There's only 1 tough part in this whole process and that is waiting for them to set in the fridge, I don't know where 2 strawberries disappeared while in the fridge ;))

FYI: "Chocolate covered Strawberry" was created in 1960s by Lorraine Lorusso from Chicago for  Stop N' Shop.

Tools:
Mixed Chocolate Chips
1 Large Microwavable Bowl
1 Spoon
1 Medium Plate lined with Wax Paper – You may use aluminum foil as well
Few Toothpicks - Optional

Ingredients:
8 Fresh Plump Strawberries – Washed & Dried (Make sure the strawberry is all clean n dry before you dip them)
¼ Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips – I’m using See’s, you can use any brands
2 Tbsp Bittersweet Chocolate Chips – I’m using Ghirardelli, you can use any brands
1 Tsp of Canola Oil
1 Tbsp of Powdered Sugar – For decoration - Optional
2 Tbsp Chocolate Syrup – For decoration (I’m using Hershey’s chocolate syrup) - Optional

Method:
  1. Insert the toothpick into the stem part of the strawberry and keep aside. (This step is optional)
  2. Put the chocolate chips in the microwavable bowl, microwave for 40 seconds and stir the chips into a smooth paste.
  3. Add the canola oil into the chocolate paste and stir to form a smooth shiny paste.
  4. Now take 1 toothpick inserted strawberry and dip it in the bowl (make sure you coat chocolate evenly).
  5. Keep in the wax paper lined plate. Follow this step till all strawberries are coated with chocolate.
  6. Now place them in the fridge for an hour for the chocolate to set on them.
  7. Once the chocolate is set, take out the strawberries from fridge.
  8. Drizzle the coated strawberries with chocolate syrup(I’m using the syrup bottle directly) and keep in the fridge for another 15 minutes for everything to set.
  9. Before serving, sprinkle some powdered sugar and serve chilled.
