Kheer
(Indian Rice Pudding)
Serves: 4
Serving Suggestion: Can be served Hot or Cold as per likes.

nonstick pot

Ingredients:
1 Cup Cooked Rice – I’m using Basmati White Rice, you can use
any other rice as well
2 Cups Milk – I’m using 1%Fat Milk
¼ Cup Sugar – I’m using less sugar, you may use sugar as
per choice
3 Tbsp Dry Coconut
Flakes
2 Tbsp Condensed Milk - Optional
1 Tsp Green Cardamom
Powder
¼ Cup Slivered Almonds –
You can use any other dry fruits or not
use any
Few Strands of Saffron +
2 Tbsp of warm water
Method:
- Pour milk in the nonstick pot and heat on medium.
- After one boil, reduce the heat to low, add sugar, rice and mix properly.
- Keep the mixture on low heat for 15min, stirring every 2min.
- Now add cardamom, almonds, coconut flakes and condensed milk.
- Give it a quick stir and cook further on low heat for 2-3min.
- Switch off the heat, pour in serving bowls and decorate with saffron strands.
- Serve Hot or Cold
