Rice Pudding - Kheer

Happy Rakhi to all Brothers n Sisters.
"Kheer"/Rice Pudding is one of my favorite Indian sweet.
Something made from regular ingredients yet so fresh and delicious.
Here's the recipe, ENJOY !!!


Kheer (Indian Rice Pudding)
Serves: 4
Serving Suggestion: Can be served Hot or Cold as per likes.

Tools:
1 Large nonstick pot
Serving Bowls

Ingredients:
1 Cup Cooked Rice – I’m using Basmati White Rice, you can use any other rice as well
2 Cups Milk – I’m using 1%Fat Milk
¼ Cup Sugar – I’m using less sugar, you may use sugar as per choice
3 Tbsp Dry Coconut Flakes
2 Tbsp Condensed Milk - Optional
1 Tsp Green Cardamom Powder
¼ Cup Slivered Almonds – You can use any other dry fruits or not use any
Few Strands of Saffron + 2 Tbsp of warm water

Method:
  1. Pour milk in the nonstick pot and heat on medium.
  2. After one boil, reduce the heat to low, add sugar, rice and mix properly.
  3. Keep the mixture on low heat for 15min, stirring every 2min.
  4. Now add cardamom, almonds, coconut flakes and condensed milk.
  5. Give it a quick stir and cook further on low heat for 2-3min.
  6. Switch off the heat, pour in serving bowls and decorate with saffron strands.
  7. Serve Hot or Cold
