Chicken Stew in Pressure Cooker
Chicken Stew
Here's an under 30min chicken recipe. Easy to make and simple in taste.
All you need is a pressure cooker or any stove pot with steam whistle. It's best enjoyed with rice however you may serve it with roti/Indian bread.

Serves: 2
Serving Suggestion: Can be served with Roti’s or Rice 

Tools:
1 Medium Nonstick Pressure Cooker
Serving Bowl/Dish

Ingredients:
½ Chicken – Cut into bite sizes pieces
¼ Cup Yogurt – Make sure the yogurt is thick (Keep 1Tbsp for decoration)
½ Cup Onion - (Chopped into long thin slices)
2 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 Tbsp Ketchup
4 Tbsp Oil (U can use any oil however it taste best in MUSTARD Oil)
1 Cup Water

Spices:
½ Cinnamon Stick
1 Black Cardamom
2 Green Cardamom
2 Cloves
1 Tsp Coriander Powder(Dhania)
1 Tsp Cumin Powder(Jeera)
1 Tsp Red Chili Powder
1 Tsp Garam Masal
2 Tsp Salt (As per your taste)

Method:
  1. Heat oil in the pressure cooker on high heat, add all the mentioned spices and sauté for 30-40seconds.
  2. Add onion, ginger+garlic paste and fry till onions are pink in color.
  3. Now add chicken, sauté, reduce heat to medium and cook till it's chicken is almost cooked (10-12 min).
  4. Add yogurt, ketchup, mix well and sauté some chicken for 5-6min till it leaves oil in the sides.
  5. Now add water, put the pressure-cooker lid and cook on high till 4-5steam whistles are heard.
  6. After 4-5 whistles, turn off the heat and let the pressure cooker cool.
  7. Once cooled, open the lid, pour into serving bowl, pour tbsp of yogurt and serve Hot.
