When we cook something regular/special, there's always two concerns: It should taste good and look equally great.
To decorate our dishes, we use many different things and one of them is "ginger" which we usually prefer to look crisp and thinly sliced however most of the time we don't know how to slice it so thin without crushing/grating it and also keeping it fresh n crispy. So here's what we need to do:

To decorate our dishes, we use many different things and one of them is "ginger" which we usually prefer to look crisp and thinly sliced however most of the time we don't know how to slice it so thin without crushing/grating it and also keeping it fresh n crispy. So here's what we need to do:
We Need:
1 Ginger Root
Cutting Board OR A Clean Surface
Vegetable Peeler
Sharp Knife (Big OR Small) OR Kitchen Shears
Bowl filled with chilled water along with 2-3 ice-cubes
How To:
- Clean the ginger root and peel it into chip like thin shape using a vegetable slicer.
- Now stack 4-5 ginger slice and cut them thinly using a knife/Kitchen Shears.
- Ginger Juliennes are ready.
- To keep it fresh n crispy for 1-2 hrs, soak them in chilled water bowl and then sprinkle on top of dish for decoration OR use in dish as per recipe.
* These Julienne can be stored in an air tight container or jar in fridge for upto 8days.
