Tools:
3 Medium Bowls – For mixing the Ingredients

Ingredients:
1½ Cups All Purpose Flour (Maida)
2 Large Eggs – Room Temperature
½ Cup Hot Water
2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
1 Tsp Instant Coffee Powder
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
½ Cup Oil – (Any flavorless Oil will do)
1 Tsp Baking Powder
½ Tsp Baking Soda
½ Tsp Vinegar
1 Pinch Salt
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Toothpicks – For creating design & testing the cake when baked.

Method:
Prep Work: Pre-heat oven at 180C
  • In a medium bowl, sieve together flour, baking powder, baking soda & keep aside. (Dry Ingredients)
  • In another bowl, whisk oil & sugar, till it forms a creamy mixture. Add eggs, vanilla extract, water and vinegar. Whisk on medium speed till everything is mixed together completely.
  • Now, lightly fold in (mix) the dry ingredients to the above mixture slowly making sure no lumps are formed.
  • In the third medium bowl, divide half of the cake batter and add cocoa powder, coffee powder and whisk to form a smooth chocolaty batter.
  • (Now you’ll have two equal batter, one plain & one with chocolate flavor)
  • Take the baking tin, pour 2tbsp of plain batter, pour 2tbsp of chocolate batter over it, continue the steps one by one till both batter are finished (Pic 1).
  • Now take a toothpick and make web design or any design as per choice and Bake at 180C for 40 min. (Pic 2)
  • Do the toothpick test: Insert a toothpick at the center of the cake and if it comes out clean, cake is done.
  • Cool the cake and then serve as desired.
