Homemade Peach Green Tea

Come summers and all we want is lots n lots of chilled refreshing drinks. And for those of us who
Peach Tea
Homemade Peach Green Tea
loves tea's & fruit's, this is the perfect season as we do have tons of different variety of fruits available in the stores resulting in endless fruit- food/drink possibilities. Here's my recipe for a refreshing "Peach Green Tea". I'm an ardent fan or green tea and always lookout for ways to combine it with some different flavor and also this combination makes it tasty & beat the summer heat. I'm adding some lemon drops into it as it accentuate the peach flavor. Also did I mention how good "honey" is for our digestion and skin :) Enjoy !!!
(You can use regular black tea as well instead of green tea however just remember to simmer less as black tea if simmered for longer gives a bitter taste)

Serves:
Serving Suggestion: Can be served chilled or hot (as per taste)
Storing: This tea can be stored for 24hrs in an air tight bottle in fridge.

Tools:
1 Small Pot
1 Medium Jug
Hand Blender along with blender jar/attachment
2 Serving Glasses

Ingredients:
2 Cups Water
2 Green Tea Bags – You can use loose green tea leaves or green tea pearls as per choice/availability
½ Fresh Peach – Chopped (I’m using fresh peach however you can use frozen peach as well)
1 Tsp Honey – You can use sugar or sugar substitute as per choice
½ Tsp Lemon Juice
1 Cup Ice-Cube

Method:
Heat the small pot with 2 cups of water over medium flames, as soon as the water starts to boil reduce the heat to lowest.
Add chopped peach and green tea and simmer on low heat for 2min (For a light green tea flavor OR as per choice for stronger flavor)
Add lemon juice and increase the heat to high, bring to a boil and switch off the heat.
Now add honey while the tea is still hot, remove the tea bags and pour the tea mixture in the hand blender jar. Blend for ½ min till the peaches are all dissolved. (Pour in cups if serving hot.)
Pour the mixture in a jug and refrigerate for 1hour.
When ready to serve, take 2 glasses, fill with ice, pour peach tea and serve chilled.

  5. Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this site. It's simple,
yet effective. A lot of times it's difficult to get that "perfect balance" between usability and appearance. I must say that you've done a
very good job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Firefox.
    Outstanding Blog!
